This is really exciting news! Especially regarding the new banks to be filled with own creations and instruments purchased seperately. AND an official way to get more RAM.

Korg is doing many things right: they are building a big ecosystem around the Kronos, giving it a realm of possibilities other contenders can only dream about!

One thing is for sure: The Kronos will be a best seller!

If only they could manufacture those beasts more quickly....

The more banks the better. When I need a sound for a new song (I play in a cover band), I like to use a sound that blends in well with the rest, not necessarily the original sound on the CD or MP3 track. I notice on the M50 I have know there are sometimes too less sounds to choose from. Ok it has 4 *128 programs, but if you split them in types of instruments it's not mindblowing much ... The Kronos will be mindblowing with about 24 banks of 128 programs.

wow sweet - I wonder if that's true "class compliance" on the midi device side... It would be awesome to be able to plug in my trigger finger or axiom controller straight into USB.

I so can't wait to get mine! 1 day and counting!

I guess the new bank names will have unique numbers for midi bank changes.

There, I fixed that for you. (Sorry couldn't resist. Now where's that "beating a dead horse" emoticon?)

Cue a treasure trove of more disgruntled Oasys owners in 3... 2... 1...

In USA, perhaps. In EU, with those prices, not likely.

True, cheap it ain't. But still cheaper than what the Oasys was at launch date. And compared to the competition like Roland and Yamaha, I claim you still get more for your money. BTW I live in Finland and I'm willin to pay the price. Fortunately I won't need to pay VAT, since I run my own business :)

Nanopad, samplememory & more banks, Kudos to Korg, I really mean it... That you read user feedback and actually do something about it and not just sleep like other manufacturers.
Really looking forward to hear samples of the upcoming string library.

I hope they address also
some other improvements,
like bigger font, better touch screen sensibility,
possibility to modify "locally" a combi in set lists.

I guess Korg has understood the importance of a strong ecosystem: being able to buy new sound libraries and create your own and exchange sounds with other users. And most important: listening to the customers wishes.

It's what made Apple great, and I bet this will give Korg a big lift up.

Thank you Korg!
