What if "BRAND NEW" wasn't as 'new' as you thought

As the title suggests, anything goes in this section.

New is new and opened is unknown....

There are too many ways to list how you can damage a brand new keyboard and even static electricity can do it. New is new, and opened is unknown. I ONLY plug into a balanced AC supply after learning the hard way that not all AC is the same...and sooner or later unprotected the AC mains is going to damage a chip and make you wonder what happened. I was at a GC once and saw a Furman's lights going into the red on both sides back and forth. Not a good sign if buying a floor model.

Only Korgs I ever had go down were a used WS and a floor model "slightly" used O1w and after paying to have it fixed it cost more than a new one, same with Roland.

Many people if they know they fried their new synth will just take it back for a new one and sometimes you have to test everything to find the damage.
