Individual Timbres in a Combi are, of course, Programs, so changing the Program in the Combi to the one of interest is part of the process, and this may be sufficient. However, there's a good chance it won't quite sound the same, because the effects used by that Timbre are likely to be different in the two Combis, so these effects will need careful curating, plus, if KARMA is being used, there is the added complexity of managing that.

Since I don't develop PCG Tools anymore and it seems others are not interested I doubt it ever will be implemented.

Developer of the free PCG file managing application for most Korg workstations: PCG Tools, see https://www.kronoshaven.com/pcgtools/
@Scott, I was able to complete the Kronos Timbre Copy functionality in Sysex Filer. I use it occasionally in conjunction with PCGtools. There are some rough edges, but the code has been stable since 2016. The handling of MFX, TFX, and Karma data is very limited - the focus is on the Timbre data.
You can download it here
There is a help file also linked that walks through the process. Let me know how it goes...

Kronos2 73, Presonus StudioLive, Cakewalk / Sonar Platinum, Windows 10
In my case, the reason I wanted to copy a timbre as opposed to simply selecting that same program again is that the timbre is configured EXT/EX2 for an external sound.voip wrote:Individual Timbres in a Combi are, of course, Programs, so changing the Program in the Combi to the one of interest is part of the process, and this may be sufficient. Thanks. I don't need it at the moment, but it's good to know the functionality exists.timg11 wrote:@Scott, I was able to complete the Kronos Timbre Copy functionality in Sysex Filer.
