Hey Martin,
Quick question before I download. I am still using Cubase SL3, so obviously that's 32 bit when using VST plugins. So what would happen to the loading of Legacy synths if I update to the 64 bit stuff. Would the Korg folder contain both the 32 and 64 bit versions and load what is appropriate depending on what is needed?

The 64 bit version won't work on a 32 bit system, there's not a 64 bit program file on your system.

32 bits versions are delivered with the new WINDOWS download too, not only 64bits ones. But not sure about what 32bits versions give us new, maybe stability and bugfixes

comsax, my system is Windows 7, but as mentioned, am still using Cubase SL3. The reason I asked about this is I don;t want to install the new stuff if it's going to mess up my running of Cubase. I know they will work fine standalone, so am assuming that the new updated programs should run either the 32 or 64 bit versions depending on whether they are used in a 64 bit setup, like newer sequencing programs, or stand alone, but as a 32 bit thing when used in my program. Guess I could install just 1 and see what happens. I am going through incredible problems with the updated Alchemy, unrelated to bit versions, but to do with configuration files, so am getting really gun shy about screwing up things that work fine.

@rock machine,

If your setup with Korg 32bit plugins is working well I would suggest leave it as is.

When I upgraded to the new x64 plugins I completely uninstalled the old 32bit plugs and cleared Windows Registry of any remnants, then installed the new x64 plugins, all is working very well now.

On my Win7 x64 the standalone plugs were installed in: C:\Program Files (x86) by default but I pointed the installer of the x64.dll files to C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins where Cubase (x64) automatically detected them.

Everything works as expected here, thanks again to Korg,

Mauri.
