64 bit is coming...

Post by Qtipcore »

Here's the details from korg user net:

"A Quick Update On Korg Legacy Collection and 64-bit Compatibility

December 19th, 2012

Thank you for your purchase and continued use of the KORG Legacy Collection series.

We are currently in the process of developing native 64-bit versions of Korg Legacy Collection for PC/Mac. Our original plan was to release these updated versions within the 2012 calendar year. In working on this project we have found a great deal of areas where the software can be optimized. Regretfully, we have decided to delay the scheduled release so that we can provide the best product possible to our loyal customers. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and we appreciate your patience.

With our current development schedule, we anticipate the updated, 64-bit versions being released in early 2013. We will provide an updated release date as we are closer to completing this project.

We will of course continue to work on updating the software as we strive to uphold the legacy of these legendary Korg synthesizers.

We thank you for your continued support of Korg and the KLC series products.

I DO hope KORG will continue to expand the Legacy series as well, considering they've done a great job thusfar.
Come on KORG, you still have a few jewels waiting to be resurrected. :)

Korg, thank you so much for bringing these legendary instruments into the future! It is the last instrument in my composing palette that is not 64 bit compatible.

As one of your longtime customers with many Korg hardware pieces, I replaced my 2 real (25 year-old) T-3s with this software and was able to port all of my programming into it with the sysex import capability.

Their were rumors at one time that you might abandon further development on this, but you came through..

Kudos to you Korg- you've proven beyond doubt that you are listening to your customers!

This news is a great Christmas present from Korg! And it's one I'll certainly be responding to by adding another module or two from the Legacy collection to my own collection once these 64-bit versions do arrive.

This is a great Christmas present,
I was hoping for this for over a year,
as working with the Legacy Cell became GUI hell for me in Cubase,

Cheers,
Thor

64 bit is coming...

Post by TerryReis »

Just updated my UA Apollo over to 64 bit, its still a beta release but seems to be working ok for me.

The only plug in left which causes me to use the 32 bridge is the Korg M1.

I would be happy to pay for an upgrade to 64 bit to finally rid my life of 32 bit bridge crashes.

Looking forward to it.

Cheers,

Terry

I'm hoping we don't need to wait much longer for this.

Same here. And I'd like to add the KLC M1 to my KLC WaveStation, but am only inclined to do that once it is 64 bit. (The KLC WaveStation is the only one I absolutely had to have, regardless of bits.)

I have both, Digital and Legacy Collections, and am looking forward to the x64 versions of these.
I'm using them in Cubase 7 x64 via jBridge and they work ok in that environment.

I wonder if we have pay and if so, how much? I guess we'll find out sooner or later,;)!

Cheers,

Mauri.

Its here and its a free update.

Go to www.KorgUser.net
** KORG Product Support Contacts **
(they support BOTH hardware and software)

Korg USA Product support -- https://www.korgusa.com/contactus (For fastest service I would suggest calling them on the phone)

Outside the U.S. contact your Korg Country Distributor -- https://www.korg.com/us/corporate/distributors/
