In my Kronos the issue is replicated 100% of the time without the parent folder giving me an error 100% of the time. Additionally the KSC was not present in the folder and samples were not loaded in either situation, I had to also manually unzip the Exs14.tar.gz in my computer then in a sub folder called KORG Options was the KSC with the samples which I then had to manually copy and paste back into the parent folder for the samples to become available to my KRONOS system. Finally working 100% but I can tell you that I did not have this issue with any of the other 14 sound sets I have purchased and used on my Kronos. In my opinion at Korg's level, the downloadable soundset from their website is not in anyway ready to go, it must be modified to work properly which is sad when people are paying you money for a product.

My God ... guys what are you doing !!! decompressing tar.gz ... where did it came from ? did you read manual PDF ?
The things are very simple ... Kronos OS needs in the same folder level the following files in order to install EXs
=== Exs14.tar.gz , EXs Install.exsins and S014 ) ===
If one file like S014 is missing because your PC/Mac OS preferences hides unknown extensions/system files and you failed
to copy that ('cause you can not see it) , then it's obviously that installer fails !
Therefore as I wrote the recommended option is just to copy the whole EXs file in your USB stick as manual PDF says !

All those commercial products have been precisely checked and work fine and any troubleshooting is always a user's fault !

If you just copy the whole folder then no KSC folder, bottom line. I tried from two PC's one on Win 7 64bit, and one on Win 8 64bit, also from a Mac Pro and a Imac both running Mavericks. All four computers with full administrative rights enabled, no KSC is extracted automatically into the folder. Listen, I followed the instructions step by step the first time and they don't work which is precisely the reason why I explained in full detail to other buyers how they can successfully get the soundset to work as well. If you just install from the EXs Install.exsins it won't load the KSC or the samples guaranteed 100% replication rate from 4 different computers extracting the .zip file. Believe me if it worked I wouldn't have wasted 3 days attempting to install it, as I stated previously I have purchased a ton of soundsets from KORG previously and have never encountered this issue before. Just so you know all 3 of the folders you stated were extracted into the parent folder and they do not load the samples unless you manually extract the KSC using the method I provided.

If you don't run EXs Install.exsins , then you can't definitely install samples manually believe me ,
( not user samples procedure you know ) , that's the 100 % !!!
For the rest , you persuaded me to download it and have a look of a possible reason that could have happened to you !

As I have stated if you just install the folders provided, then run the EXs Install.exsins on your Kronos zero samples will be installed unless you also extract the KSC then insert it manually into in the parent folder then run the EXs Install.exsins with the KSC file included in the folder.

Ok when I decompress everything goes on its own. It doesn't go to any folder

First of all , you do not need KSC file for installation , this file will be installed at HD/Korg options / ...

Well , just explored EXs 14 and I can say that thought it works like a charm the main difference from previous EXs distributions
is that files have been packed standalone and not it a folder EXs16 , which mean that your Unrar procedure must be
"Unrar to EXs14" in order to create a solid file to copy in your USB stick and not searching for scattered subfiles.
All the rest files like EXs14.KSC will be installed in HD\Korg Options\EXs14 EDM Drums\ ...
All the rest are written in instructions PDF !

And for all of those that the samples won't load for use the method I described to achieve success. I'm glad for you Antony Sharmman.... "It Just Worked as described"

OK got mine to install. It went well up to the part I loaded the Pcg. From there it didn't give me"load KSC also" I went back to computer and extracted Folder where KSC where at. Put on usb then to Kronos. from there i selected KSCand loaded right up

Just a simple question ...
Go to installation Kronos HD area , path : HD\Korg Options\EXs14 EDM Drums\ ... and tell us , Can you see there file "EXs14.KSC" ?

well it's actually EXs 16 for me. And yes that's where I had to go to pick out the KSC. It did not do it automatically for me.

So this is exactly of how this ought to be ... after installation you go to HD\Korg Options\EXs16\ and insert EXs16.KSC
you will find there in preload mode and Done ! read instructions !
