I agree with most everyone except they aught to continue making upgrades for the TE, like the MOSS. I was at a Bobby Nelson seminar in Florida and if I hadn't bought a TE one month before that seminar, I would have purchased the M3 right that night. The keyboard is a masterpiece of engineering feats. I don't know many musicians who could run out and purchase the M3, myself included. I think if Korg could reissue the TE at a grand price, they would sell the, no pun intended, crap out of it! I have to compliment Bobby Nelson because at that seminar; I went to learn about TE and of course the M3 was the point of sale, however Bobby took the time to show me several things that I could do with the TE even before the meeting started - that impressed me.

Couldn't you have stacked them and used the M3 as your top keyboard and kept the TEX for the main keyboard? That would be the best of both!
I'm sure that the M3 has something much better thant, (than that), in its generators for synth sounds and I think that when you pull up a sound you have individual sliders for each track, how cool is that for live applications? It's kind of like having a guitar, organ, piano, sax, orchestra, horn section, choir, and whatever set up for each sound and all you have to do is either bring em into the song or drop em out of the mix of the sound that you are playing. And that's just the tip of the diamond.
Or like someone said earlier just buy the module and use your TEX Korg keyboard for the controller.

I understand that, you are right but soundwise is a lot less then TEX,
maybe one quarter of it. Its phisical controls are great i know that
but i still went for the king of all, XS.

Come on, is there really any keyboard that can exactly duplicate any sound? Literally, it would be like duplicating your own brain. Aren't we all just fixating the sound to our own likeness. Oh my goodness is this prolific or what! I taste LFO abduction all over the yang.
I'm really just giggling inside my stomache thinking of how boring that would be. Even the thought of not being able to equalize my TE to the room I'm playing in makes me wanna shout!
Could you really not laugh at the thought of Keith Emerson, Rick Wakeman, John Smith, not having every famous origional keyboard from all wakes of life in front of them and then trying to play cover songs while racing from one keyboard to another to play the next song or even a part in the song. Then try to picture those same guys playing one of their famous collaborations on a magnus toy organ from the 50's.
Now listen what we're discussing here.
God help us

I didn't see it yet on this thread, so I'll jump in with...
I like all the sounds included on the Extreme. I tweak things, but I'm sound designer, nor do I want to be...and I hated that I'd have to spend all that money on EXB boards to get the extra sounds for the Studio.
So, when the Extreme came out with so many great sounds included, that was what pushed me to finally getting a keyboard I'd dreamt of for a while.
I think the M3 is great, but for me, I'll wait until the Extreme version of that comes out...or the Oasys prices drop from the stratosphere into my realm.

Hey Troy,
I myself haven't had the pleasure of experiencing over the years various keyboards other than going to the store and playing. But what you said is true. I've been able to find all the sounds in every song that we play that nails the sound as close to humanlly possible. I would like to have the M3 and use both on stage, maybe I can find a damaged one somewhere and fix it myself. Come on, it's the cost! This keyboard and any like it is for the best!!!!!!!! Most of the best can afford it. The rest of us need, as my wife says, need to pay on it a little at a time and you would have had it by now! Is this reverse psychology or what?
