Why did you buy a Kronos then anyway?

Lol.... The same reason everybody else did.

I think that depending on what the OP means by the post question "How much of the Kronos's Brain have you used?" the result could vary greatly !

If we take complex engines like AL-1, STR-1 or MOD-7 I think we can tweek a sound based on an already programmed one quite easily.
For instance by changing the filter aperture, enveloppes, effects etc.. But in my opinion this is not going in depth.

I took a plounge in mainly all the engines except MOD-7 and CX3.
But I can say that I only stayed at the surface for the complex ones.
I also imported some samples from AKAI CDs to play a bit with HD-1.

So even 20% seemed to me too much so I will say less than 10%.

May be another range from 5 to 10% should be added to the vote ?

Cheers.

Well if you haven't turned it on in months and you are done with workstations, I know a good home for it in The Netherlands. Seriously, let me know! I will even pay shipping as I want to add a second Kronos.

That said, I really hope you DO use it. While software is cool, there is an insane amount of power within Kronos that softsynths frankly cannot touch.

Namaste,
Vlad
Current gear: Kronos, Jupiter 80, Kurzweil PC3,Roland Fantom X8, Roland XV-88 (yep, its old, but the ACTION is heaven and those XV-3080 sounds are still wonderful for me), Radias-R, Motif ES (yeah it's older but I love the guitars ;) )
