Nord organ got a big upgrade from Electro 3 to 4...better 122 Leslie sim, more pronounced percussion, and generally better sounding. this is a big deal to me.

i haven't loaded the Kronos' updated B3 Programs, but the existing ones sound great with a Neo Ventilator rotary pedal. to me Kronos, on board Leslie effect is..just okay.

i think Kronos Rhodes, Wurly, and Clavinet are comparable to Nord....Korg certainly gives you a whole lot more models and options ! And finally, Kronos has a World of sampling space compared to Nord Electro, and even the flagship Stage 2. The Clavia Nord website and Nord Portal User Forum are always adding great new samples, but you'll find that you'll eventually have to replace many of the loaded factory samples for lack of space.

For a long time the Kronos61 was my bottom board with an original Motif6 up top.

I recently moved the Kronos up top and now have a MOXF8 on the bottom.

Pretty sweet combo for me!

Nord Stage 2 is the perfect compliment to the kronos although with the new version of the Kronos I have been thinking about a Kronosx88 on the bottom (with the kronosx61 on top)
the nord is HEAVY so that was a drawback so no big deal to switch to the 88 since its HEAVY too.
Each job requires a different combination. I will sometimes put a hammond on top and the NS2 on bottom for the classic rock gig- Other times its the NS2 on bottom and Kronosx61 on top.
But lately for a quick load in and out it's been the X61 ONLY with the SpaceStation amp. This has cut my setup time to 1/3 and nothing is very heavy.
If its a concert with ample time to get set up (with a road crew or union stage crew) it's the NS2 and X61- that gives me lots of custom programs on the Korg and a piano /electric piano or really good organ with effects to grab quickly- looking seriously at the Korgx88 for the bottom since that would give a really good backup for the custom programs and I would still have the weighted/unweighted combo that I like :D

My lower keyboard is a Triton Extreme, however it could be any keyboard (preferably with after touch), since all sound comes from the Kronos only.
