Part of the answer to your question depends on what you are trying to accomplish. The RC-300 appears to be a guitar-focused stereo loop machine, so there are only a few things that can be communicated via MIDI.steved53 wrote:Mind you, if someone can tell me exactly (and I mean exactly!) how to connect my Boss RC300 (via midi) to my Oasys, I might be tempted to let them jump the queue!
I looked at the BC-300 manual and you can do the following:
1) Control an External Midi Device from your RC-300
page 38
This would appear to be helpful if you want to start/stop the OASYS sequencer in sync with starting and stopping loops. It appears when you create a loop on the RC-300 it stores the original tempo info. You can create a setup (midi out on RC-300 to MIDI IN OASYS) whereby the RC-300 will transmit midi clock and midi start/stop.
You can also send Control Change messages from the RC300 to the OASYS but I am not sure how you would use this feature
Do you have OASYS sequences you want to start/stop in sync with RC-300 loops?
2) Control the RC-300 from an external Midi device
page 39
You can use an external MIDI device like the OASYS to switch loops in the RC-300 (switch Phrase Memory numbers). It appears the RC-300 can be set to understand Program Change messages 1-99 which would switch loops.
Is that what you want to do?
You might want to repost this in a separate topic so more people would see it.

Hi Guys
I had offered my credit to another member in here, unfortunately he's away on holiday and won't be back to reach the deadline and has no way of getting access to his serial number before to use them,so has asked that I pass them onto another person its only $100 or so but rather than them expiring someone is welcome to them first come first served
please don't ask for them if you've already received some off another member make it fair for everyone.
PM please

Nice one Kontrol49.
Just an update here too....
A generous reader of the forum who is not an actual member has emailed me his codes which are worth $750. I've forwarded on the code to Martin. He's not going to spend it all, so he will probably have 300 to pass on to someone else.
Regards
Sharp.

I already received a $200 voucher part from someone however, if there is a $150 voucher part left I would be very interested. Of course I understand if others who may not have received a part of a voucher have priority.
I consider everyone spending a (part of a) voucher to me as PCG Tools donator which can have a link in PCG Tools. However since I love this thread (I noticed it very late though), maybe it's a good idea to create a special link page for everyone who donated part of his voucher to others (so not only to me). I think the generous gifters can this way be compensated a litte by getting some exposure and not being forgotten.
