Personally don't see any problem with the images that have been posted,if you don't like what you see, don't look!!!!or even more....Don't keep adding to the Thread to keep it Active if you find it offensive

Given its been threadJacked from the OP topic anyway and drifted way out of hand for no reason at all Perhaps it would be best for the Moderators to lock this topic........

It seems you're on some kind of righteous "crusade" and can't handle too well a differing opinion than your own.
Thats where the real problem is.
Thats ok, we're all different, so long as common respect prevails, I'm sure we're all ok :)

But nevertheless, I removed the image and also want to extend an apology to the rest of the people here, who also somehow, by some miracle of inept, found the picture disturbing and for what I fear - to have contributeed to ruining this thread.
If a moderator would like to delete all posts that DONT refer to headphones, by my opinion that would be great.

Akos, I was not attacking your religion or sexuality or anything else, I was writing to Ozy about his picture, not to you in my previous post.

And also, you should work in the library or with law, by your skills in cross-referencing discussions and constant linking :)

Now, happy chsristmas everyone, hope you have a good time with your family! :)

Very quickly- before the thread gets locked:

The AKG240's are what I have used since 1983! No joke. I only replaced my original pair in 2006 with the exact same model. Actually, the newer set came with a detachable 1/4" end to accomodate an 1/8" jack and at the phone side the cord is removable altogether. Very comfortable set and they sound great. How great?? I dunno because I have used them the most and compared them to very few others since I liked them so well. In 2005 when I bought my Triton Extreme I got a free pair of Sennheiser HD 280's and I thougtht they actually sounded about (I do mean about) as good as the AKG's. However, (and this is huge) they are SO dang tight!! In one hour my skin is aching to have them removed. You know, the area all around your ear. They are just WAY to snug. AND, to make them worse, they are subject to breakage on the band around the top just below the top headband cushion.

I do have a question, even thought I love the AKG's... In the studio I have an office chair that I roll around on to keep me mobile without having to stand there for endless hours. And as a result I keep running over the AKG's cord. So: are there any decent CORDLESS headphones that would do the Oasys and any other cool piece of gear justice?

Please accept my apology in advance for trying to get this thread back on track.

If and when this gets locked down I would still really appreciate an answer.

Sincere regards to all.

Made EXACTLY the same experience. Tried several others, but maybe as I have grown up with them I am already to used to their sound.

Whoa!

Check these...Sennheiser RS 160. Anyone ever try them before? They also make the MM 450's (with invisible mic) but the last thing I need is to be heard singing!

Peter!!

Hey buddy. I'm uploading my old song right this sec! I will post a reference to the link in just a few minutes. I can say that here and still remain ON topic because I DID in fact use my AKG's during the mixing process (hehehe) of this very song! (LoL, is that cheating??

Hang tight and that link will be up. (Oh yeah, like ur sitting there clutching the edge of your seat with tense, sweaty fingers and chewed and broken fingernails in eager anticipation of my next song! Hahahaha!!) :verycool: :soundsgood =D>

@ ucandream:

you gotta do better.

Uploading your song will be not be enough for keeping this kafkaesque OT thread going: I bet my boots it would go on forever, and I'm afraid I'm gonna lose them.

Heregaard appeased You-Know-Whom, and that stopped the hamster threadmill.

Darn...

Can't you pretty please post some inappropriate video with your song? Please?

Pretty please, for the sake of my only pair of boots...

Oh, whatever. I hope your singing is really bad enough... that could offend somebody and generate some thousand posts...

This is my last post here in this topic.

Sorry for the length again, but please let me answer the comments directed to me - one after the other:
markuk wrote:akos i find your posts iriritating and to me this is very offensive. I am being serious, i find all of your posts on this topic very offensive as i dont like people irritating me. So as you say can we please stick to rule #2 and have all of your posts removed. please explain were you draw the line with causing offence.
It's not me who draws that line on this forum. (And not you either.) This is the job and the right of the moderator. Strictly based on the forum rules accepted by you and me.

If anyone thinks my activity is offending then there are solutions according to member rights:
1. You can ignore my posts. Yes, just like ozy recommended.
ozy wrote:I can just look away from what I don't want to see.
2. You can ask me to stop. (Just like I did at the first time with Heregaard or ozy.)
3. You can report me to the moderator. (Just like I did it to Sharp.)
markuk wrote:Akos you wrote

I am an Atheist and find the superstitous nonsense of a personal god very offensive. please can we stick to the rules? Im offended. Im deeply offended.
Yes, I'm sticking the rules and I didn't want to offend you, I respect your different conviction. I was not preaching. I've only introduced myself shortly to help the readers to understand me better - just like another fellow member:

I understand that. I respect that. Please realize that this forum is a common place. Just like a dinner table we are sitting around. Together. I wouldn't put my boots on the table just because "personally I don't see any problem with that" or this is my "freedom of expression" (quoted Hedegaard).
Kontrol49 wrote:if you don't like what you see, don't look!!!!or even more....Don't keep adding to the Thread to keep it Active if you find it offensive
Good point. Unfortunately, I had no other possibility.

Let's see how Sharp decides.

Yes. Let me comment it for the last time.
Hedegaard wrote:Image removed, because it showed 2x harmless girls faces wearing headphones that gave themselves a nice little kiss.
They could be sisters just saying hello to another, or porn stars,
I think as an adult you don't need my help to decide who were they in reality.
Hedegaard wrote:...but the problem is, it was offensive to some people, because they probably never saw a girl kiss in their lives before.

Nope. It was offensive because it was against the forum rules. Please, ask Sharp if you don't believe it.

I accept it. No problem, my friend. I considered it as a mistake.
Hedegaard wrote:...you should work in the library or with law, by your skills in cross-referencing discussions and constant linking :)
Thanks. (I've got an interesting job.)

I wish the same to you personally and to all the posters and silent readers here from the bottom of my heart.

My last quote  :

Hi David & Peter, thanks for the info re the AKG 240. I will put those on my list to check out as well. David I don't know of any wireless phones, but those Sennheiser RS 160 look interesting although one review I just read http://www.techradar.com/reviews/audio- ... 667/review recommended their bigger brothers RS 170 or 180 which have a wider range, and a docking charger rather than that disk charger that the 160 uses.

Anyway, great to see this thread moving back onto its original intended topic and that it was able to be resolved eventually. Hedegaard has been man enough to remove the picture (which he did not have to do) and so we can all move on now. At the end of the day we all share a common love for music and are part of a privileged group that many people can only dream about, a group of OASYS users and owners, so its great that we can get back and focus on that.

And on that note, "Happy Holidays" to everyone, and just in case that offends any one, to those that don't have a holiday then "Happy Normal Day" :)

pmm rose my curiosity regarding this thread - didn't read it, as I'm very happy with my AKG 271 Studio headphones. Got 2 of them - one for me and one for the people being recorded. I can recommend them - but I'm not sure they are still produced. Nice, clear sound and they seem not to add anything to the original.

As for the OT-discussion: my oh my - this reminded me of some other threads (in other forums) gaining excessive momentum because of ... well, I don't know what, 'cause the bad, bad picture is gone. It's always fascinating to see how the various minds kick in and fight for being right. :?

let's just say that mammals and twins had something to do with it, small furry animals were part of the issue

but no cow was involved, albeit a dog later was

No animal was hurt in the production of this thread. Some ego was, though.
