Hi,
Can anyone please tell me whether the KLC is still being actively supported by Korg?
There doesn't appear to have been any update to the software since March 2013. That's nearly 3 years ago and there have been 3 major updates to the Mac operating system since then.
I am about to purchase a new Mac and am concerned that I won't be able to use the KLC if I do.
I experienced some strange behaviour already with KLC and Yosemite, but i'll be on El Capitan when I get the new Mac, which I know from looking online does not work with KLC at the moment.
Is this likely to be addressed by a future update?
Or have Korg abandoned the software?
Any clarification would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Is The Korg Legacy Collection Still Being Supported?

I really don't know. I submitted a support request to Korg to ask about El Capitan compatibility a week ago at least, but have received no reply. So I'd have to say it doesn't look too promising ... and since I NEED my KLC Wavestation, that might lock in my music computer with Yosemite, where the KLC stuff still works most of the time. But I haven't lost all hope yet for a reply.

The support in general has been pretty poor for years now, but seems like it's almost disappearing since they did the 64 bit update. Disappointing, and they've never addressed how Legay Cell, easily my second favourite to the Mono Poly, only seems to work in limited ways now, not even predicatble. For instance, I can see it listed as one of the VST synths in Cubase 7, but when you open the VST decive loader , it doesn't even show within the Korg folder, even while the MDE-X does show up in the VST effects folder.
I wrote an email to Korg USA Support to ask about El Capitan compatibility and/or updates of KLC, and I did get a response from them eventually. However it didn't really say anything conclusive … just that they have a lot of products that aren't compatible with El Capitan and that they are in the process of creating updates, but can't say when such updates will be available. They then sent a link to a bulletin that they said had more information … but the link was all about iOS9 compatibility, not Mac. Finally, they recommending downgrading from El Capitan if possible.
I am not sure that response really is any sort of guarantee that KLC will ever be updated … it is a bit too nebulous about it to reach that conclusion I fear. But perhaps all hope is not yet lost.
Well, for the moment I guess I will stick with Yosemite for my studio computer, and keep my fingers crossed that Korg might eventually update the KLC again.

Korg just introduced 2 new microKeys, all coming with the KLC included, due December.

So, assuming Korg does not want a Class Action Suit or similar, this is a strong indicator that they will keep the KLC updated.
It just takes more time, as usual and No-Thanks to Apple.

Latency/buffer setting
I am running El Capitan. Initially, I was experiencing about 1s latency when using multiple controllers with KLC-DE. I found the buffer setting was maxed. Not sure why the previous releases of Mac OS didn't have the issue, but, I set the buffer in M1 and Wavestation to 1024. No more issues.
