MicroKorg synthesizer to logic pro x

hi i just bought a microkorg and i use logic pro x. i have hooked up my midi in and out to my mac and my L and R outputs into my interface. i do get sound coming through my logic when i hit the keys on the microkorg but for some reason when i hit record even after it being record enabled, logic wont let me record anything. when you record anything into logic it shows a red line letting you know youre recording but when i press my keys after i click record i get nothing. im sure this is easily fixable i just dont know how to fix it myself, im still very new to this! if anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated!!
