Volca Sample Glitch Discovered - Endless Decay / Drone

Post by Schtang »

Hey Korg enthusiasts!

While recently jamming on my Korg Volca Sample, I happened to discover a nice little trick which allows you to turn your Sample into a drone!

This trick can also be used for creating atmosphere, or endless oscillations :)
In basic terms, it can allow you to make a looped sample last forever, without using the sequencer and regardless of playback being on or off :)

Please check out a little tutorial I made of how to execute this in the link below -

Happy noise making!

Good find! I did this to some short percussive sounds, adjusting their "speeds" and having them go in and out of sync with each other. Maybe use it for a dance contest - that is, if you can dance to it, you win.

Definitely room for some wicked polyrhythmic goodness with this trick :)
