Touch screen latency?
Just bought a new kronos 2. My touch screen is not very responsive...anybody else have this problem? It takes like a sec to know its being touched
Also have it midied to an akai mpk61...and the velocities are super hot on the controller vs the kronos.....
Please advise...

Work on Korg Kronos
What is being used to interact with the touch screen? I find the blunt end of the finger not so good, but using the fingernail works best for me. Some people use a personal organiser type stylus. It may also be worth calibrating the screen, using the preferred fingernail or stylus, or whatever.
On the second point, the velocity response curve can be changed to one that suits your playing style. "Super hot" can be less than ideal.

Re: Touch screen latency?
I think its an acquired touch, when I wanted to punch mine I decided to use a stylus.MusicianSickness wrote:Just bought a new kronos 2. My touch screen is not very responsive...anybody else have this problem? It takes like a sec to know its being touched

There's no noticeable latency. If it *feels* like it's latent, what's happening is that your touch is slightly off (as mentioned in replies above), and wanders slightly on the screen until it hits the right place.
As mentioned in the Quick Start guide, it's really CRITICAL to calibrate the screen. Try that first!

Mine does not always registers the touch. It beeps for the touch sound but
takes no action and have to touch again. I think that to be a common issue with resistive type of touch panels.

If it beeps, that means that the touch was noticed by the software. If nothing happens, that means that the touch wasn't in the right place. I'd strongly recommend calibrating the screen. Read the description of calibration in the Quick Start guide.amit wrote:Mine does not always registers the touch. It beeps for the touch sound but

Thanks Dan,
Have calibrated many times.
It's bit better now but still a lot of false positives Both with finger and stylus (I use a Wacom intuos pen)
