Anyone used a Mini KP2 as an effect unit connected to an analogue mixer, via the standard aux send/return ?
The issue I have is - the aux send on my mixer goes out via mono jack - and the Mini KP2 takes a *stereo* mini jack for the line in. I've tried every possible combination of cable and adapter, between 1/4" and 1/8" mono (TS) and stereo (TRS) and I always can hear the effect is panned towards one channel
Anyone done this? Any advice on cable to use?
P.S. I have set the Mini KP2 into "send" mode

You need a mono splitter on your mixer send (its like a headphone splitter, only mono).
Very cheap connector. Then Jack in stereo pair (2*TS) >stereo minijack (TRS) between splitter and KP.

I'm interested in this. You suggest splitting a mono signal to provide space for the stereo effect image?Spheric El wrote:You need a mono splitter on your mixer send .

Currently I am using Zoom G3 as master effects processor, it takes mono-in and gives stereo-out.

With you Dragan I would just use one channel of you stereo signal,as an effect send.
If you are plugging your intire signal through your effect unit I would settle for a mono in at that point, then rely on your effect to provde width back into signal.
Or use a mixer and a send return config to recombine dry and wet signals (ie use both orignal signal and 100% wet mix of effect signal, mixed back together on mixer).
