How Do I Make This Work?

Post by jeremykeys »

I also posted this on another thread. How and what do I need to record the video using my iPhone 4 onto my computer? It's a PC and I'm running Cubase 7.5.4 on it. I'd like to be able to film my playing while at the same time record my music. Hopefully this will be in sync but if not, then that's a problem for another day

Thanks in advance!

Thanks but since then I just broke down and bought a Zoom Q4 camcorder.

It has stereo microphones and easily mounts onto a camera stand. I was just being cheap at the time figuring that with an iPhone it should be a lot easier than it turned out to be.

Plus I can record audio from my computer into the phone, and since my computer has a card reader it can load the card files directly into the computer.

Thanks again!

The Q4 seems like a nice piece of kit.

I have been drooling over the DJI Osmo. 4k, fully stabilised. May not be as good in the sound department as the Q4, though.

The reviews of the audio were seriously part of the selling features that caught my eye. I had saved up some gift cards for the music store so it cost me less than half of it's regular listed price. Plus it was on sale for a week only! I picked it up for around $150 before sales taxes. This made it impossible to say no!
I still have to learn which setting produce the best picture but that will come in time and I'm sure that the lighting in the room has a huge impact as well.
