Korg DDM-110 Super Drums

Post by tereminjohn »

I am the owner of a Korg DDM-110 Super Drums that I bought new in the early eighties. Unfortunately, I have lost the cassette tape containing the digital information for the drum sounds. I am hoping that someone might have a tape and could make a copy of it for me. Even better, the digital info might be transferred to a digital format, like a wav file, etc. I am not sure which format would be best to use ( may be issues with compression, etc). I don't know what type of file would be best, but someone out there might be more knowledgeable than I about this. I am willing to pay for postage and time spent copying as well as price of cassette tape. Also, if anyone knows a source for original data tape, that would also help. Thanks

Did you have any luck tracking down the factory cassette tape or extracted audio/data? If not, can you contribute any audio demos that feature the DDM-110? Short snippets containing individual drum patterns would do. The idea is to reconstruct the available patterns from the tracks (or excerpts), input them into the drum machine and save the data via the tape-out port to a recorder or computer. I have already started harvesting some original patterns from various home recordings.
