Kronos MIDI problems with Logic Pro X
I am having problems with my Kronos being recognised in Logic Pro X (10.2.1). This used to work up to about a week ago. Since then I have tried everything to get the Kronos to show has an external MIDI device in Logic. What's strange is I can still get the Kronos to control soft synths and other outboard gear in Logic. Kronos shows and can be selected as a MIDI device in Cubase using the same setup of outboard gear. Am I missing something here? It shows as a MIDI device on the OSX Midi manager (I tried re-installing the driver, but since it works with Cubase don;t think it's that) Any suggestions? It also shows as an Audi Device in Logic, but It's just not there as a MIDI device to select. Any existing projects I have which uses the Kronos (when it worked), you can see the MIDI signal on the tracks but nothing can be heard.

The kronos for me is recognized by logic
Maybe it is necessary to update the mas with the last midi driver available in the support part of korg.com
However i have another issue
When i leave the kronos connected to the mac with logic open and without using the kronos for a while , when i play again there is a big latency between from the moment the kronos is played and the sound returned by logic
If i close logic or change the audio setup in logic everithing backs to normal
I have the impression it is linked to the last kronos os update or mac os update
I don't remember having those issues before

The same problem is driving me crazy right now. "Kronos sound" just isn't showing in the window where we're supposed to select it as an external usb device. I can select it as port afterwards on the track, but when I do that Logic only receives midi from Kronos, it doesn't send.
I had the chance to play a bit with the new Korg Minilogue, and there was the same problem, even though it would sometimes work after restarting the computer and/or switching usb ports. This was about a week ago, "Kronos sound" was there as device, so I thought the problem with Minilogue had something to do with that I had connected both Kronos and Minilogue. When I connected 1st the Minilogue and then the Kronos, Minilogue showed up as device.
But now, with Kronos, I've restarted my mac several times, re-installed the latest korg usb/midi driver, tried different usb ports, usb cable - nothing works... I think it might be somehow connected with the latest Logic Pro X update (10.2.2), but I can't be sure. I hope that apple and/or Korg will soon do something about it...Please!

There seems to be a lot of issues around midi device recognition and latency issues with recent updates of Logic X. I've had a few issues of late too, and feel it's more an issue with either the Logic updates or in my case, upgrading to El Capitan.
The mid input registering has not been so much of a problem for me, though, if I remember I did have it occur once, and can't remember all my steps, but I think I just re-installed the driver, and tried connection of the Kronos at different points of the Logic start up process, e.g. before/after etc.
What I do find that is more noticeable is the latency and audio buffering problems.
Like a few around here, we've tweaked the audio settings and found it helps, but then it happens again after awhile, I've taken it back again to the original setting, to say 128, and it fixes it. That goes for the audio stuttering too.
All the while with stuttering or latency, I find the CPU load is minimal. Just to help me think it's a Mac issue and not a Kronos issue, is that for me, it happens with other keyboard controllers, (not Korg), so not the driver of firmware.
In playing around, I'm beginning to wonder if the latest version of Logic is making greater use of the energy saving feature of the latest OSX's, or there's a priority thing going on, which would make some sense with leaving it idle for a while and then coming back to it and finding the latency has returned.
This is the effect I get with the audio stuttering too.
I'll keep checking it out and if I find anything more certain, I'll let you know,
.....the OP's issues is maybe not totally the same, but just a few thoughts to spark some ideas, especially when it comes to the most recent Logic update or OSX,
Chris
