Problems with Kronos Two 61

Post by hand solo »

Just picked up a used Kronos 2 61 from GC and something's not right..when i first got it, every Program had a drum kit that sounded on every note.

I reverted to Factory settings and installed latest OS (3.0.4 ?) and that went away..but now in some banks...some of the sounds don't play...they are listed in the banks, but there's nothing there.

At least one person has told me it could be logic board or system problem?

Anybody have a clue?

thanks

Sounds like you could use a total reinstall with the factory disks. It sounds more like a software problem than a hardware problem. Best of luck to you.

Can you give some examples of which ones? They may be EX libraries which require a key to activate. They are freebies that come from the korg site. Until they are activated, they are listed in the program banks but have no sound.

Yes it sounds like the programs and combis are there, but the samples or EXs's haven't been installed, or are missing. Load a program which is silent, and go up to the drop down menu and select load missing samples, and see whether it can find them.
