Greatings,
at first i had to say that im a beginner with Midi connections. Im a owner of the E2 and the Kaoss Pad. I connect them with Line In/Out and it works great. Now i get the Minilogue and i want to sync them all together but i have no idea how i can do this.
I read that one of them must be the Master and the others must be Slave and they had to run in the same Midi Channel.
But wich instrument is the Master? My idea is that the E2 play the pattern and the Minilogue play the sequence i have build...all together. This sound goes to the Kaoss Pad and i can play effects with it.
My idea: E2 (Master) Midi out to Minilogue(Slave) Midi In. But where i cann connect the Kaoss Pad?
I hope somebody can give me some help, its very complicated when you do this for the first time.
Yesterday i only connect the E2 with the Minilogue via sync in/out. The only thing i can do is to change the Tempo from the E2 with the Minilogue but they dont play together. I check the global settings on both but it dont work.
It would be very nice if somebody of the Korg experts can help me.

The sync jacks are just clock pulses, there is no note data so what you described there is exactly what you should get.
Does the minilouge have a MIDI THRU jack? if it does connect it to the KP MIDI IN.
MIDI SYNC doesn't matter what channel the devices are on, clock data goes to all devices. I would use the setup you described. then the Minilouge will play the sequence on the E2 that corresponds to its midi channel (the E2 is fixed, each "pad" is on a different channel) so if you want he minilouge to play the sequence on pad 8, set it to channel 8.
