Are the styles/samples on korg pa900 compatible with korg pa

Hello Everyone. I would appreciate if anyone can respond to my question. I have had a pa900 for over 4 years now which has lots of oriental styles/sounds as a .SET. I have recently decided to purchase a korg pa4x but I need to make sure that the same styles/samples (.SET) from pa900 will also work/load on pa4x w/o any issues. Someone told me that it will require some sort of a conversion before it can work. Is that true?

Hi,

I saw you had a question regarding compatibility with your PA900 Set in PA4X. I was in the same situation when I bought my PA4X and you will need to convert the set to make it compatible and some drum kits and samples may be missing and you will need to attach it to the correct style.

If you would like, I could check using your set and convert it to PA4X and check if it works perfectly.

Hello hfahim and thanks for reply. I don't currently have a korg pa4x and so I cannot test it after conversion. So what do you need from me to do the conversion? is there a charge?

I just need the .SET file you have and I will be able to convert it and I can show you how it sounds on the PA4X by testing it on my own. No charge! I just like helping out fellow musicians:)
