Impression of Electribe 2 / MIDI Question regarding Volcas

Post by FranciscoArellano »

I have to say that this is the most amazing machine I have bought till now. Just received it on tuesday, yesterday I made my first patterns on it and it has sooooo many options, it makes it much more versatile than emx1. Also, the sound is much more clean. I'm in love with the little thing... if it had a vagina, I would make love to it everyday 8)

The only thing I may miss from the emx1 is the 8 bar pattern, but I think it depends on how I adapt to this new machine.

The other problem, at least for now, is the MIDI channels. I haven't been able to midi control volca bass nor beats. So that is keeping my emx1 in the set, but I'm looking for a solution in order to remove the emx1 and keep things more simple.

Any help on this

Each part ( pad, teach, whatever you want to call it) transmits a fixed midi channel. Part 1 is ch 1' part 2 ch 2, etc, etc.....
Korg gear I own:
electribes EA-1,ER-1,2x ES-1, EMX-1SD, ESX-1SD
DW 8000, Wavestation SR, KP3, Volca Beats, Keys MS 2000 R

Korg gear I've used extensively:
M1, Triton Pro-x 88, SG-1D, NanoPad, NanoKontrol

Yes, I know that, but, then I would have to "sequence" that part and then step edit those beats with the notes that go with the BD, Snare, etc? :D

Sigma thanks for answering, u rock :P
