Krome 88 Display Problem
I am very upset with Korg. I own three Korg keyboards and just purchased a Kronos 88 which cost me almost $4000.00. I have a Krome 88 keyboard that always worked fine and has been treated excellent as for handling and was purchased new. The keyboard now is not working at all. I was playing it with my band at practice last Sunday and the display turned white and none of the buttons work and there is no sound coming from the keyboard. I tried to power the keyboard back on and nothing happened. So I finished practice playing my King Korg. When I returned home, I read the user manual and the manual states that if the keyboard is unresponsive to turn the power off and hold down the "exit and page" buttons while powering up the board. I did this and nothing happened. I waited and tried again and the load screen appeared and the keyboard started to load. The screen turned white during the loading process. So I again powered the board off and after a couple hours tried this process again. The keyboard load screen again appeared and this time the keyboard loaded and once the program 001 screen appeared, I got a message that there was a corrupted program and it was repaired and to press OK which I did. The keyboard started to work again and I had the sounds and buttons were working. This lasted two days. I tried to use the keyboard again yesterday and the screen was white upon powering up. I tried to reboot in the same way that I did to get the display to work again and it now will not work at all. I tried to call KORG USA and was basically told "tough luck" too bad your $2000.00 keyboard is now useless. I tried to e mail KORG and have got no response. This is unacceptable!!!! I would like to hear from someone at KORG regarding this issue. I am seriously thinking about returning my Kronos to Zzounds for a full refund. I ordered the board last Friday and received it on Tuesday. I paid cash for the Kronos and am wondering if I made a mistake buying KORG. I always have nothing but positive to say about your products but now I don't know what to think. If there is anyone out here from KORG that reads this, please contact me through Facebook or email me at monacoinstallations@netzero.com Thank You.
This does sound potentially like the internal microSD card might be acting up.
The following may resolve the issues and requires only the cost of a class 10 speed or better 16GB microSD card and some time to format it, copy some files and replace the original microSD card inside the Krome with the new one:

Look for the 6th or 7th posting down. There are also other related postings in the Krome section.
If this doesn't solve the problem then a trip to the Korg dealer will be in order.
