Hi, I have my Black EM-1 connected via midi to my pc.
I got the Editor as a shareware some years ago from
midiweb.de, I go the trial version, but I never made it
to work.
Then recently I made a 32 bit Windows XP and voila,
the software was running, but I couldn't plug in the Em-1
because I had it lend to a friend studio.
Now I have it back, but the editor stopped also to work
on trial because of 30 days time from installation.
Reinstallation doesn't work.
The main problem is that Midiweb is down, I tried to write to the
Author, Hans, / stulgies@kagi.com to see if I can get a full version.
The licence was set at 40Eur, but yet I couldn't see it it was working or not.
So I am asking if anyone had succeded in using the Em-1 editor,
maybe after 13 years, it has become a little obsolete, if someone has a licence and want to share it with the world, or just me, I'd like to get it,
as long as the author doesn't care anymore - as it seems the project midiweb was somehow overrun by some other/cloning/whatever happened
its truly sad to say soo, but it looked to me as a beautiful piece of software
but I can't login nor get a licence.
If don't get a reply mail from stulgies@kagi.com, that is the only mail
provided both for purchasing and support, and other people, like me,
would like to work with it, maybe we can get enough subscribers to get
the author attention to revival its project, or someone pick that up and share
the missing licence and not let it die.
It is possible to find some mirrors with vers. 2.0 of the software, only for windows, I saw different mirrors o the net, I still had a version from 2006,
You can find the software o this mirror, which is my website.

I agree this would actually be pretty cool, I too also took a dig on this software before and it's truly amazing.
I'm quite surprised how much people have become so much more interested in the EM-1 recently!
I too also I'm a proud owner of an EM-1 and I think this software would be great to save your patterns and build songs with it and so on and it would be the probably, easiest way of saving your work on the pc instead of using Midi-Ox as I've just posted.
And btw your mirror's not working.

I've got the file out from https://qpdownload.com/korg-em-1-editor/
but i'll give you the courtesy of saving you of having to run their installer since it asks you to install 3rd party software (bloatware) so I got the file and I uploaded it to sendspace :
For whoever's interested in trying the demo:

Just installed it and it's truly amazing.
It's a shame the company's really gone and there's no way to purchase this.
I think this would solve all the problems regarding the stupid SysEx problems I've been having as it seems to be flawless.
There's not much one can do in demo mode.
The other way is use a Daw and figure out all these NRPN's or whatever it is because these older electribes don't work with Midi CC's
