AUDIO OUT and HEADPHONE OUT ?

Post by advid »

.....what's the difference when playing mono into a PA system.... using the Left (combined L/R mono) output on the back OR the front Headphone out...?
They both give variable control over volume from the Master Volume...
Is one any better than the other for clarity/distortion etc etc....?

Line outs are different in a few ways. Line levels are lower than headphone out, Line Out Left if used without the R will automatically sum the two channels to mono L + R so you don't miss out on some aspects of the sound. The headphone jack will not automatically sum so you will only get one channel. Always use Line out Left for mono and don't plug anything into line out R.
