Korg Kronos with a little bit of Blofeld.

Post by runningman67 »

Hope you find this uplifting. 90% Kronos and a bit of Waldorf Blofeld.

Thanks. There's a lot going on but the warm pad supports the whole tune.
The Kronos has it all.
The Blofeld is the dreamy electric piano and a few bells but mainly it's the 'mighty K' :)

Can Kronos be a controller to Waldorf Blofeld Sinthesizer? Thanks.

Cheers.

Yes it can.
I use the Blofeld Keyboard as a controller. Because I have a 73 weighted action, I can now use the Blofeld keyboard too, it's keys are the best non weighted action I've ever played. I think it complements the Kronos and it's a good teaching tool to learn how to programme and tweak patches. Something I used to struggle with.
Like the Kronos, it offers huge value for money. £475

Great track. Waldorf tone seems a good complement to the Kronos.

Out of interest, was this sequenced on the Kronos or a DAW? I'm a newbie to workstation sequencers and I'm debating whether to invest the time with the Kronos sequencer. All advice welcome.

Thanks Escapegoat.

It was the Kronos sequencer and then recorded onto a Tascam 24sd.
I've had a few Korg Workstations so I find the Kronos quite easy.

I know very little about MIDI and programming so I just play to my own strengths.

I don't use any software, it just doesn't suit me. All hardware. I have the Waldorf Streichfett too. It's mental but its all about Knobs and rocker switches and real time sound morphing. My little set up gives lots of fun and options on a budget.

In answer to your question, I would have a play with the sequencer. Then its all there for you in one big beautiful box. But I am biased.

Really nice, runningman67.
Very soothing, and nice Blofeld accents.

I also have the Kronos/Blofeld, and love it.
Mine is the desktop version that I control with a Prophet '08.

In keeping with your theme, I thought you might like another example of the Kronos/Blofeld.

All the lead parts are the Blofeld, everything else is the Kronos.
Hope you like.

Very expressive Texas. Well done my friend.

The two keyboards go together well, who'd have thought it.

Thanks :D

It needs more cowbell, other than that I enjoyed it very much. 8)
