Using expression pedal for volume in a combi

Post by Bob3c »

When using a layered combi, can I use the expression pedal to raise the volume of one layer and lower the volume of the other layer?

cheap pedals instead of original Korg

Post by korgkross61 »

I am interested in buying 3 pedals for all the 3 inputs on Korg Kross and am looking for cheaper/inexpensive ones that work perfectly fine with it instead of the expensive Korg ones, can anyone recommend any cheap/reasonably priced alternatives ?

Regarding the first question,

Yes you can. You assign the sound you want to control the volume of, to a stereo limiter. Set it like below, except instead of assigning it to the mod wheel, assign it to the pedal.

you can also make sound transitions with this method. for example piano with a limiter with these settings, and a string with a limiter in dry position and mod wheel amount set to +100.
