How reliable is the Kross?
Been using the Kross for a month or two and it's done some weird things. Last night during rehearsal all my User Combinations got scrambled- I rebooted it and my sounds were back. So far since I've had it, it's crashed twice and scrambled my sounds twice like it did last night. I had planned to use it professionally for gigs, but now I'm really having second thoughts.
Has anyone else had these problems? I haven't done any firmware updates yet- would that fix it? I can't have it crashing in the middle of a gig.
I didn't know it at the time, but last night it was not plugged into a surge suppressor. Could that have caused the problem?
Unreliable? Should I return it?

I've had mine since they first came out. I've used it on gigs, in campgrounds, and hauled it around all over the place with never a problem.
You either have a bad unit or there is something else going on.
Is it possibly a problem with your AC adapter? Could you have been unplugged when you thought you were plugged in and the batteries ran dead?
You might also upgrade the firmware and see if that works.
If not, Exchanging it would be the best option if you can
The Kross is an excellent unit and very reliable by nature
Best luck

i never had problems with mine, which i have been using for a couple of years now.
it's probably the voltage that's causing all that. for short outside gigs (less than 4 hours), i used freshly-charged NiMH eneloops. that reduces the possibility of issues with power fluctuations. i still bring the power adapter, just in case.
