Upgrading memory in Electribe ES1 or MK2

Post by drdk »

Hi,

Is there any way to upgrade the memory in ES1 or MKii? Can we use any XD to smartmedia card adapter? Like this one:

https://www.amazon.ca/Memory-Smartmedia ... media+card

OR

From my recollection, at least some of the DX to smart media adaptors work. But....you can not, if I recall correctly ever have more than 9 save files, and these can never have more than 99 samples.and the card is just storage, it doesn't give you any more "memory" to use in the machine. In any given save loaded to the machine you only ever have 99 samples and whatever amount of sample time the machine has. Cards are only offline storage. I believe it only works with up to 64 MB cards as well.

So yes those adapters will let you save more "sets" but you can only ever have one "set" loaded in the machine at a time with the limitations of 99 samples and the set sampling time.
Korg gear I own:
electribes EA-1,ER-1,2x ES-1, EMX-1SD, ESX-1SD
DW 8000, Wavestation SR, KP3, Volca Beats, Keys MS 2000 R

Korg gear I've used extensively:
