Why are sounds different in recording mode?

I'm trying to get into recording a bit. Nothing fancy currently set up and I did a factory reset just to make sure I wasn't doing anything stupid.

I play in 'prog' mode let's say A031, Attack Piano. I love the way that sounds.

Then, I go over to SEQ mode, select the same instrument and have a different sound (not as...full? maybe).

What the hell am I doing wrong here? I've tried copying all the effects and such too

Did you copy only IFX effects or MFX and TFX too?

It's much simpler than that. I simply selected 'SEQ' and selected 'A031'. (pre installed sound)
