I like this video.
So many great analogue synth guys from the 60s,70s, and 80s now using modern digital synths to recreate classic sounds.
Hmmm.
Sais something about the greatness of a great digital synth.
Also the greatness of KORG and KRONOS. 8)

Great. Thanks for sharing. Need to get tickets for the tour....

BTW any classic Yes fans should check out the recent Anderson/Stolt album. It is in the vein of classic Yes but a modern take. Awesome album.

Is it just me or....it looks like he's playing the CTTE bit in E (which is the original key) but it sounds like D.

He certainly used to do it himself. I previous articles I read that he would go through a new synth, find a few presets he liked for further development and then he deleted the rest to build his sounds from scratch.

He's a brilliant comedian as well. I saw him on the 2014 "Journey..." anniversary tour, and the first half started with a monologue.

My favourite was "I've had several wives. My third wife divorced me because I wouldn't open the car door for her ......... but I was swimming for the surface at the time!" :D

And of course a fantastic gig as well.

Just saw Anderson Rabin Wakeman this past Friday in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. These guys still got it! Fantastic show.

Mr. Wakeman definitely had 2 Kronoses, amongst the 8 or so other keyboards surrounding him. IIRC he also had a Montage, Hammond SK-1, pair of Minimoogs, and Roland Fantom. One or the other Kronos was put into service for pianos, organs, mellotrons, strings, and probably more. I didn't pay attention to every note (blasphemy, I know).

If you're a Yes fan and can catch this tour, you won't be disappointed.

I now have my tickets for the Cardiff Gig on March 12th (opening night on the UK leg). Can't wait!

I just hope I have more luck than after my last concert there! We saw Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds tour in Cardiff about two years back, and on the way back, a drugged up idiot flew through a red light and found my car in the same point in space and time.

Hopefully lightning does not strike in the same place twice! :D

Unfortunately for me, the closest they are coming is Buffalo, New York on November 2. Alas, that's a mid week date and I'm not going to take a day off work to see them. Also, my wife doesn't like Yes. I know,I know. How did this happen?

Maybe they'll make a killer concert DVD!

Ah, you need to get your wife to a Yes concert. :)

I saw them for the first time on The Ladder Tour in Cardiff. My missus came with me for the shopping and the meal out in the big city, and was dreading the concert as she thought she hated them. But she still came on the "two out three aint bad" principle.

Three songs in she nudged me and said "you never play theses ones!". I had the satisfaction of saying "oh yes I do!". So seeing them live completely changed her opinion of them.

We went on to see Yes another two times, with daughter as well who was about seven at the time and who now currently hates all my music with a vengeance despite loving it when she was growing up.

Interestingly there is not much that I listen to now that the good lady does not like - it's usually the heavier stuff she doesn't like, but anything proggy is fair game these days.
