My Kronos 88 banks got messed up but I don't know when, how or how badly. Both my Banks I-A and I-C start with Kronos German Grand. My Bank I-B starts with HD-1 Piano Damper. In list form, here are what the banks start with, all taken from the instrument itself:
I-A Kronos German Grand
I-B HD-1 Piano Damper
I-C Kronos German Grand
I-D Dynamic FM Keys
I-E Perc Organ 1 Sw 1
I-F Steel String
I-G Acoustic Piano
U-A Doubled Screamer
U-B Harmonik E.P Knobs5,6
U-C HD-1 Piano Damper
U-D Vibraphone 2
U-E Velo Vib Flugelhorn
U-F Harmonic Bass/Lead
U-G Init Program
Since I use the workstation with Sonar and apparently have an incorrect ins file as well, I am having great difficulty making music right now. Sonar gets its patch list from an imported ins file and I have 5 versions of that:
1. Korg Kronos - Kronos Factory
2. Korg Kronos 88
3. Korg Kronos v2
4. Korg KRONOS v2 - New (Combi)
5. Korg KRONOS v2 - New (Program)
How do I get back to "normal" standard banks and then get a correct ins file with all the original patches in it?

Unless you have made extensive edits to the original programs, why not simply reload the original factory banks stored on the Kronos hard drive?
Regarding Sonar: I'm not sure why you have five different .INS files since Sonar can only use one at a time per device. How have these files been created - downloaded or from a utility? I would think the file labeled Kronos factory would be a good start. You can always open the .INS files with a text editor to print and compare them.
