Kronos and the MS20 and ASM assignments

I just started working with the MS20 in the Kornos so I'm not really sure I know what I'm doing. I have it set so that tone holds to its' maximum length. When I go to the "oscillators & Filters" page and highlight VOLTAGE CONTROLLED LOWPASS FILTER, then move the "Value" slider up and down, it does exactly what I want it to do: it toggles the knob left to right creating the sweep sound I'm looking for....like a radio frequency sound.

Now I know that if I copy this into a COMBI, the Value slider won't give me that ability because it now has a different function, so I wanted to give one of the knobs (preferably Knob 8 ) the ability to toggle that function so that it sweeps like it did in the program. Does that make any sense?

I've tried highlighting the knob and changed the AMS Knob 8 CC 74 and change the intensities, etc. but it's not working. I'm guessing that's because that's wrong....

Perhaps there's something I need to patch in the patch window? Although that seems a bit of a mystery to me, I did patch VCO1 to EG1 trig in.
