Hit Wavedrum with sticks

Hi,

I heard hitting the wavedrum with sticks is not the best idea... Should I replace the skin before doing this? Like putting a thicker one?

Using ordinary drumsticks with reasonable force should be fine. Using anything heavier should be avoided. Getting a lot of use out of the Wavedrum with spirited stick play will eventually start to produce noticeable wear in the drum skin, so it might be useful to keep a spare skin handy for the day when the wear reaches a certain point and needs replacing.
