Changing volume of individual timbre in combi mode?

Post by gudardo »

Hi!

I have a question which bothers me and I can't find the right answer for it.
It's about changing volume of individual timbre (Patch) in Combi mode.
When I play piano and strings layered I would like to change volume of strings sound during the song via foot control pedal. The piano sound should be the same all the time.
Is there a way to do this?

This is possible. The M50 parameter guide explains in more detail, but the way to do this is basically as follows: plug in the expression pedal to the Assignable Pedal jack and set its function in the Global menu to be expression (CC#11). Go to the Combi of interest, and in the MIDI P5 MIDI Filter 2 menu page, set the Enable Foot Pedal check boxes to the timbres of interest, and make usre the others are unchecked.

Thanks!!

I tried that and had no result. But when I changed other foot pedal (it's same model "Proel GF16L") i succeeded. It is odd that first pedal that didn't worked with m50, worked perfectly with my other keyboard (Roland Juno G). Now I switched these two pedals and everything is ok, but i need to calibrate this pedal that goes in m50. Couse, volume changes more exponentially than linearly.
Anyway, thank you weary much on your help!
