Many of the members have transitioned between keyboards. I recently bought Pa4x and need to import my work (styles & sounds) from Pa2x. Going from Pa1x to Pa2x was time consuming.
Can share how you overcame this hurdle? Any golden nuggets? Advice?
I searched the forum but did not find a thread. If one exists, can you please point me to it?
Many Thanks,
Transition to Pa4x

Hi Kauser
Although you are a well experienced Korg PA user, you could do a lot worse than actually work through the Getting started guide and video tutorials that come with the PA4X.
A lot of it will be easy, boring and obvious but the "new" bits and new terminology will give you a starting point.
You do have to get used to it, no question!! One small example:- PERFORMANCES are no longer there!
Getting comfortable with the heavier focus on using SONGBOOK, the new Keyboard-Set and Set-List features will set you off ok.
If you can afford to keep your PA2X for a while it will help but not essential.
I can't tell you that there's a quick and easy way to get through this transition so, yes, you will need to dedicate some time.
Cheers
Pete
P.S. make sure you update the OS as soon as you get it - many bugs and a few changes since the earlier OS version - you can update directly to the latest version.

Will do. Thanks for the advice.
I was already a heavy user of Songbook and loved it. There certainly are features that are totally new to me. Those will be fun to learn and use.
As an engineer, I am a bit geeky and like to read the manuals to understand the capabilities, features, and cautions.
