Vocal Presets selection - harmony is "ON"

Post by karmathanever »

Just a tip that may help you....
I use different Vocal Presets for most of my songs in SONGBOOK (and using SETLISTs) so I do not use the "GLOBAL vocal preset" option in any song.
What can be annoying is that when you select a song the VP harmony is immediately "ON".
I always like to have VP harmony OFF at the beginning of every song and then choose when I want it ON/OFF etc throughout the song (in fact my singer controls this with a foot switch)
The reason the VP harmony is ON is not a bug but purely the setting in the Vocal preset - so just go in and edit it turning "Harmony" OFF.
You can overwrite the factory presets (which I have done) by unprotecting factory data first (as for factory style/sounds etc) - Remember to protect the factory data afterwards.
OR.... you can save the changed preset to a USER preset.

Hope this helps.

I use the "unprotect factory data" every once in a while regarding styles. And yes it is very important to protect it again as soon as the change is done. I'm learning more about the vocal processor.

Great tip!
