How to create keyboard set for all styles
I recently bought PA4x and its not clear to me in the manual how to create sound set (performance in previous models) which includes 4 sounds and other parameters settings.
I tried to implement what mentioned in the manual with no luck. I tried to use the sound sets of the library that I created with different styles but each time it picks only the sound set that linked to that particular style knowing that auto style to KBD SET is unchecked in Global.
Appreciate your help ASAP

Hi
OK let's start with this simply to create a keyboard set:-
Go into STYLE PLAY mode
Now select all the SOUNDs you want in the keyboard set (UPPER1,2,3 LOWER etc
Adjust all their volumes to suit and also mute/unmute etc....
Select required octave settings etc..etc..
From the top-right drop-down menu select "Write Kbd Set to library"
Select a kid-set bank and location in which to write it
Rename it as you wish
press OK
The currently selected style will not be affected.
Now you can re-call this keyboard-set any time you want
Please understand that keyboard-sets are NOT the same as PERFORMANCEs in previous models
Hope this helps
Cheers
Pete

Think of a keybord set like this: a performance without any style settings. So yes, upper 1 to 3 and lower. No style attached, and - because of that - also no style performance. Instead, use the Songbook feature to create/manage your 'performances', which has a lot of advantages once you understand how it works. Think of the keyboard sets as live sound settings you want to use a lot (your favorite piano setting, the trumpet or organ you use a lot etcetera). A style is no longer attached to it. You can use (save) your keyboard sets as sts's in your Songbook entries... But of course you can change them if you think that's required for a certain song in your songbook. Very flexible and handy.

In Songbook, style and keyboard sets come together. Don't know if it's possible to save a Keyboard Set in Songbook without changing the style (any one with PA4 can advise on this, as I don't have one).
My guess:
If you want to select a keyboard set without changing a style, just save it as a keyboard set. (not in Songbook).

This is what I would suggest too....Fransman wrote:My guess:

@orasikh :- Not quite sure I understand - just leave the style selected and then select the keyboard-set(s) you want.
Sorry if I have misunderstood

Cool - so a "keyboard-set" will do exactly that. What I mean is to create a keyboard set that includes sounds saved in registration memory 1-4 and not to be linked to any style the same way we used to do in "Performance" in previous models.
I hope it's clear now
Are you ok with this now or do you need more help?
Cheers
