Question about how to control bass notes in styles

Post by bcomp »

HI, I'm new to the forum so please forgive my inexperience on posting.
I just bought a new pa4x 2 months ago and have a million questions on as to the inner workings and settings.
The one I have right now is:
When plying a style (any style), how do I make the bass notes follow all the way down to C1 when playing the chords? ex. - I play an Am chord, I get the bass note A1, I play an G cord and I get the bass note G1, but when I play ANY chord below that, the bass notes jump up to say, the F2 (playing the next chord down which is the F) and happens all the way down to the C1?
I have noticed this on all styles that I play.
Any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated, thanks...

WELCOME to the forums and congratulations on buying the best arranger keyboard!!! :D

I think what you are asking relates to the "wrap-around" settings within the style.
Check it out and try changing it in a particular style where you want this to happen

Go into Style Play >> Style Controls >> Range/Wrap
See Page 213 in the latest manual for details.

Cheers

Hi, there - the newbie again,
The solution above worked great on the style that I wanted to change, but I am now noticing that on other styles that I want to change the bass note wrap around, that it doesn't do anything no matter what number I put in the the bass wrap??? Sorry to be such a pain but when things work right the first time and then not the second - Is there maybe some sort of a lock on the style? Thanks, Bob

Each style will have its own preset wrap around - I don't know a way of generically changing it - it is style specific.
