Newbie with a Korg D3200

Greetings. I just picked up a D3200 though I really know nothing about digital recording and mixing. I'm a drummer and play in a garage band with some other 40 somethings. We jokingly refer to ourselves as "DadRock 3000". Anyhow, I'm hoping to use the D3200 to record some drum tracks as well as record some of our practice sessions. This is just for fun but I'm interested in knowing more about the equipment and process. I'll probably have several questions so I hope it's ok to post 'em here.
