Keyboard sets

Post by robthemuso »

Hi. Whenever I select a different keyboard set my pa4x automaticaly selects the first set in that group. Can I stop it doing this so that I can select a different k.b. set then select a set from that group when I want it. Hope this makes sense. Rob

HI Rob

Page 845 in the V2 manual will fix your problem (re: auto-select keyboard-set in GLOBAL mode)

Cheers

But how do you keep your last STS so you can save it to another style or songbook entry? I haven't find that yet or it simply can't be done? How can I copy a songbook entry's STS to another entry?

System do not buffers any KB SET (only one in My Setting and one per bank as described bellow) ,
so when a new style is picked always its first KB SET is recalled.

There is an extra option in Global/General controls/Interface (maybe useful for Rob) ,where you can define one KB SET per bank :
Initial Pa4X manual wrote: Automatically selecting the Keyboard Sets from the library
When the Auto Select > Keyboard Set Library parameter is activated, pressing one of the
KEYBOARD SET LIBRARY buttons, or touching the name of a bank in the Keyboard Set Library
Select window, automatically selects the Keyboard Set you latest selected in that bank.
This way, you can assign your preferred Keyboard Set to each control panel’s button, and
select it just with a single press.

However, the Keyboard Set Library Select window will still appear, so that
you can select a different item if desired.
1 Choose a Keyboard Set for each KEYBOARD SET LIBRARY button you want
to program.
2 Go to the Global > General Controls > Interface page.
3 Select the Keyboard Set Library checkbox in the Auto Select section.
4 Touch the Save button to save the Keyboard Set assignment to all buttons.
