Hi,
I just wanted to thank Paulo and the Korg team for the new Version 2.0 operating system. It's nice to get something for free once in a while. I look forward to trying out the new styles, sounds and features provided.
The more I read this particular Forum (PA4X), I seem to come across owners unhappy with certain aspects of their keyboards. In my unqualified opinion the threads indicate a general negativity towards the PA4X. I'm not defending Korg, but if I was checking out the Forum (with a view to purchase a PA4X) I would be very apprehensive.
I can accept criticism regarding software issues, especially if they are not dealt with. What I struggle with is people who are unhappy with either the features or general quality of sounds and styles. Everybody has the opportunity to audition the instrument prior to purchase to decide if it meet's their requirements. If it doesn't, do not buy it !!
I was unhappy with one aspect of the PA4X and I sent a PM to Paulo about it (which he replied to in under 24 hours). Pretty impressive.
I bought my PA4X from the largest retailer of Korg arrangers in the U.K. who provide free software, assistance and support with any products purchased. Thanks to them, I have not had a single issue using the PA4X. The keyboard has not locked up on me, the software has not crashed and even version 2.0 O/S loaded perfectly. I even received an email attachment from them today with over 1,000 additional styles and keyboard sets that can be played directly from a USB stick. The email even included the software to enable me to play the PA4X with bass pedals.
Please excuse my long post, but I just wanted to express my appreciation for all the hard work that Korg and my dealer have put into making my PA4X such a great purchase.
Chris
A personal thank you for O/S Version 2.0

Korg have continually been fantastic to its customers for many years now - nothing has changed - we are still getting new unexpected features and ongoing fixes for those little bugs.
As Chris says - try it, don't like it? don't buy it.
There is still no other arranger on the market that comes close to the PA4X IMHO. The rumoured Yamaha "Genos" will be interesting to say the least but I can't afford a second mortgage
and Yamaha will have to improve a lot of things for it to even match the PA4X.
(again my opinion)
Cheers
Pete

Hi chelsea4023 very well put I think we share the same dealer who I also think in the UK is one the most comprehensive dealers out there with there understanding and enthusiasm of arranger keyboards specifically PA4X and what they don't know is not worth knowing they are a credit to korg and i say that considering the genuine problems of freezing episode I had after a difficult 18 months and with out them i may of given up on what is and has been said before...the best arranger keyboard to date and now having 4 months of trouble-free motoring with my new replacement PA4X I am very enthusiastic about this keyboard I just love playing it ...but post V2 which again I agree in almost every way and i echo the gratitude that has been give with others with are V2 upgrade i unfortunately picked up on some changes (not imagined) which I have covered on a recent thread and i hope to here from korg about this matter soon, so in the mean time thanks for the tip and reminder about your email I keep forgetting to send my usb stick up for that and i will retrieve that information today and Chelsea 4023 we are lucky to have discovered the dealer we share they knock spots off all the rest out there i say that as historically my local large pro music store had no idear about arrager keyboards which at that time was PA3X and they use to phone me to do there demos when ever there customers showed interest....I now tell any one interested to head to are dealer......all the best

Count me in as someone who is using the Pa4x every weekend doing live performances and it has NEVER let me down. It has not frozen or failed to boot. Bugs are bugs, they happen, but Korg is usually very quick to fix them and come out with a patch version.
Pa4x is an amazing keyboard with so many features and great styles and sounds. You really don't appreciate all that it does until you don't have one or try another competing keyboard. They you realize how complete this board is. Are there some bits that need tweaking, of course. No board is perfect. I can purchase any board for my performances, but the best board out there right now is the Pa4x!
