Hi Tonytekila:

It's a good ide, but don't sell your PA600, just for these reasons:

1.- You can dedicate each kyb for different projects on live situations
2.- You can control Krome from PA600, that is very usefull not only to get
a different sound simultaneously, and you'll get a bigger poliphony.-
3.- You only need a midi cable, and program midi output of PA600 to
match one or more midi channels of Krome (for example you can
send acc PA600 midi chanel to an specific midi channel of Krome.
4.- At least for my ears some PA600 instrument sounds better than the
same on Kronos.- For example, accoustic guitar.-
5.- To increase sounds quality on PA600 dowload mamienova set.- Go to
dopamine4korg web page, and download version 2.6 that was the last
one he published.- Lots of sounds, styles, new pads. etc.-
6.- You can play & control simultaneously an Style, Midifile, Mp3 file, while
you play on your Krome.-
7.- Both PA600 and Krome have the same keybed feeling both are synth
action (krome 88 has hammer action).-

I don't have a Krome, but i do what i said below with my Kronos and PA4x ( before i did it with an M3 and pa3x le).- I feel much confortable with PA4x keybed than Kronos, so i control Kronos with PA4x.-
Some time ago, i got a PA600, and only replace it for a newer PA, first PA3xle 76, and last month PA4x the best arranger ever made (till comes PA5x and so on).-

Hopping this helps you
With regards.

Hi Eduardo,

many thanks for your reply and help it is much appreciated, I was going to keep the pa600 as I like it, but was going to purchase a Krome to replace an old Korg pa60 which has a few notes not working, I really need something with a very good manual bass and very good Brass sounds, the piano sounds on the Krome seem very nice on some of the youtube videos but wonder are the brass sounds as good? again any help appreciated.

many thanks.
Thanks Tony,

Hi Tony:

You don't have to thank anything. On the forum all must help everyone.-
About sound on PA, Krome, or any kby, you must take in count that you can modify any sound to match wath you want; you can do this by tweeking EQ and - in PA - you can manage up to 24 oscilator, so you can perform the sound you want.- All is invest hours to get the sound you are looking.-
About sound on PA600 take a look at a this:

http://ginoqa.wixsite.com/gqvideoperu

You'll be surprised by set this guy performs, all of them can be used on your PA.- Take a look.-
Hoping this helps you.
With regards.
