Wishing for a monophonic mode.

Post by AEJOTZ »

I love playing monophonic keyboards with last-note-priority. That means when I'm holding down one note and press another. the last note I played cancels the previous note. I can do some very rapid leads on monophonic boards that are much harder to do on polyphonic boards like the MS1. I have two polyphonic synths that are switchable to monophonic (Microkorg, CZ-101) and when I send MS1 sequences to them they work fine in monophonic. But the MS1 won't live-play or play itself from its sequencer monophonically.

I've searched the manual and paged through the settings on the instrument looking for a way to switch to monophonic but I haven't found one. Has anyone else had any luck?

I think there's a way to do it, but I love my microSampler to much to try!

Google "channel mode MIDI messages."
