OSX - Repairing Disk Permission Tutorial

Remember in Mac OS 9 it seemed that almost anything that went wrong was going to be cured by 'Rebuilding the Desktop'. LOL, now in Mac OS X the great 'cure all' is Repairing Disk Permissions.

So I thought I'd write a very brief tutorial for anyone, like myself, that kept hearing that you should try this as a solution to fixing various problems but wasn't sure exactly how it was done.

Macworld and Macaddict magazines are great, I had a 3 year subscription and all the tips and tricks they bring help me to fix a lot of things and do the "Maintenance" routine to keep my Macs running flawless.
