Factory Pedal Steel Sound

Post by loadsofreverb »

Hi, Just recently purchased a PA700 which so far I am impressed with, however the factory installed pedal steel sound is dreadful, sounds like an animal in pain! The pedal steel on my micro arranger and Trinity are beautiful.

Any PA700 owners out there that could confirm what theirs sound like? Its so bad I wonder if I have a corrupted file. Thanks.

Mode>sound>factory>guitar>tab p4>pedal steel.
I am not sure whether korg have "dropped the ball" on this one or I hsve a faulty unit. Would be very interested what other pa700 owners think. Thanks.

Pa700

I wasn't too impressed by the sound of that guitar either. I did though find editing the Eq settings make the keyboard sound brighter and styles more punchy. Maybe as more of us get the Pa700 we should create some tutorials on getting the best out of the Pa700.

Thanks for the reply, it sounds so wide of the mark I'm sure something is wrong.

Here is Pedal Steel you might like to try that I put together this morning.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dDJ9Xp ... sp=sharing
It will put two versions to User 1 Sounds slots 9 and 10. (Or if you Open the set, by Load, Open, Sounds, Open, User1, Open....then you can load them where you wish).
It has been built around the Pa3x but assuming similar mapping on the pa700 it should work. It has no new user sound samples but just uses modified versions of factory sounds.

The Pedal steel sound of my 4X was really bad compared to my Yamaha S970...which is just excellent.

Reuben, if I can figure it out, I’ll try your suggestion for my 4X.
