Favorites Protection or disaster??

Here is a situation that Korg should fix!!!

I have done 4 backups of my styles....so far so good.....but there is a problem!!

When you have "Favorites protect" checked you CAN NOT save your data!!!!

My data were in the favorites tabs and I lost everything.....

From the manual...

"Note: Pa4X ORIENTAL also inclused a Factory and Favorite Protect checkbox. When selected, this option protects all the Factory data and the Favorite Styles from edit- ing."

It does not mention that if you want to SAVE your FAVORITES data you should turn off the protection!!!

I haven't find anything in the manual but even if there is a note there SHOULD be an alarm when you are going to save your data.

Hmmmm wonder why they did this? What is different with the OR that requires FAVORITES protection option????

I guess that normally, protected data is not saved.

When you do a Save All with favourites protected, is the item "Favorite Style" with its checkbox on the screen (usually top left) - this is the screen where you select exactly what you want to Save?
If it is there, then this really needs to be fixed and is a bug in my opinion - if it is not there then it is OK as it is not listed as being saved.

Thanks BR - that's what I meant - I was asking "if you have FAVORITES protected then does the "FAVORITES STYLE" appear on this screen.
If so it is definitely a bug that needs fixing but if not, then it is correct.
