On the face of it - very interesting - an excellent development, and a sign that Arturia are in this for the long haul.

That said - 2 octaves - still ! ??

And - Christ - I can't keep up. It's synth overload these days. I fear there are so many brands and choices that they will start putting each other out of business through low sales for any one given company. Perhaps it's not a zero sum gain, but I fear we're at a tipping point for the smaller synth companies like Moog and DSI if this keeps up.

Am i the only one that is a firm believer in 37 key solo synths?

Its just a matter of time, before Arturia will make an instrument that integrates their software with their analogue hardware...

My disadvantage is the same as always with Arturia: no patch memory.
Im really happy with monologue-zoom ms-cdr70 combo, and thats it for a mono synth.
But definetely Arturia has made an excellent piece of gear and it for sure will be very popular AND there will be hundreds of used mini/microbrutes for sale really soon :)

Still curious about NAMM ...

Bachus - with you on that

Demonp - agree - NAMM rumours seem a little quiet this year. Certainly more companies than ever are not using NAMM as the time to announce - but I suspect there are a fe companies keeping particularly quiet!

Ins't Korg about to announce a new polyphonic synth?

The S2 was what I was hoping Korg was building, a mini/monologue with a patch bay, though I suppose they thought been there done that with the MS20m.

Very nice and not a replacement for the original 'Brutes. The module isn't just a module version of the boarded synth either and will also act like an expander in the true sense of the word. Like Korg have been doing for almost two decades now, Arturia have included modulation sequencers. That will really make the module be a seriously bonkers instrument without plugging it into it's siblings.

The euroracks skiffs are the most interesting thing to me though. I'm doomed now that a case that will work with the most used modular system is available at the local instrument store. And for a good price too. Roland would have had me if they didn't include power that won't supply the correct requirements for anything but their own products.
Stuff I'm using: Umm right now, well there's a Volca Drum, a Micro Freak, an ADX-1, a Pulse, a Blofeld, a UNO Drum, KeyStep/Beatstep Pro/Keystep Pro (one of each), a Circuit, a LiveTrak L-12 and this nonsense: The Brief-case as it was about a bit over a year ago (the the complete ridiculous GAS monster collection here)and here

I have a 6U pre-production one here and they are very good quality, I would very happily recommend them.

You can make a nice little system with the 2S and the 6u rack.
