Each style is made of a series of Style Elements (Intro, Variation, Fill, Ending…), each one corresponding to a section of a song, each of this elements is made of different Chord Variations.

When you play in the chord recognition area, the arranger scans the keyboard and detects which chord you are playing. Then, depending on the selected Style Element, arranger triggers that Chord Variation of an Style Element corresponding to the recognized type of chord. Since each sequence is written in a particular key (for example, CMajor, GMajor or Emin), the arranger transposes to that CV-sequence according to the type of chord you are playing.

Chalith, as Siebenhirter explained...to make it more easy,
you can think of it as a Variation in a Variation.
If you make a Style in 1 CV with Cm and then in 2 CV
make that Style different but assign a CM Chord, when
you play this chords you will have a different Variation per Chord.

Could you please direct me to a more comprehensive tutorial (text or video) that explains all the style creation elements with an example?
Considering that all PA series keyboards use the same interface, it would be very useful if someone could make one for the benefit of all.

For the Pa1000 one can see the explanations for Style Edit in the Pa1000-User Manual on pages 227 - 306 (the steps are well explained).
After the basics for creating and correcting styles in each Pa-model are the same, available manuals of older keyboards (Pa3x, Pa800, Pa2, Pa1) also may be used (eg Pa3x - Edit page 3 to page 35).

You really do not need examples - each of the factory styles is suitable as an example and with each of them you can experiment in order to understand the interrelations of the steps to create and work with styles.

Simply catch a style to be used with style editor an learn to handle what will happen if changing settings and parameters.
